In the salt packaging industry, production speed and efficiency are essential for maintaining competitiveness and reducing costs. AKZO Nobel partnered with Tacom and Betti Macchine to enhance productivity by integrating advanced new packaging technologies.
A long-standing client of Tacom, AKZO Nobel had already implemented efficient packaging solutions but needed to increase the speed of its packaging line. Their previous setup, while functional, could not meet the demand for higher productivity. The goal was to boost capacity to 300 cartons per minute while maintaining high-quality standards.
To address this challenge, Tacom collaborated with Betti Macchine, offering a packaging line featuring an advanced solutions and the integration of cardboard spouts—a more sustainable alternative to traditional plastic spouts. This project highlighted how Tacom and Betti Macchine’s technical expertise optimized packaging machines efficiency without compromising flexibility. AKZO Nobel benefitted from increased productivity, lower operational costs, and improved packaging quality, which became more sustainable with the adoption of cardboard spouts.
The experience gained from this project has further strengthened Tacom and Betti Macchine’s ability to deliver tailored solutions, particularly for large-scale salt producers and other industries, both food and non-food.
